EuroSpaceHub Ibiza Forum 2023

When Puriene Vilma TTO Director at Vilnuis Tech, asked me to join the delegation attending EuroSpaceHub conference in Ibiza, I imagined planets, spaceships, astronauts, aliens and of course beautiful Ibiza beaches and vibe. Well spoiler, didn’t meet many aliens but I had an amazing opportunity to meet most of the rest, plus discussed topics such as space diplomacy, well-being in space, music and art, space psychology, met Astronaut Analog and SpacePianist, as well as startupers, investors, academic experts and overall amazing people that in there own way are already in outer space.

Takeaways:
– Space is definitely the next frontier humanity needs to address, and people still lead the process
– Although space research requires substantial funding, innovations begin with people’s creative ideas and ability to follow through
– Socializing skills need to be enhanced especially when considering the isolation in space
– Space diplomacy is a topic that needs to be better exposed and discussed
– Space education needs to start young and accelerated
– Space offer new dimensions for art, music and generally creative industries

Ibiza has to offer something for everyone🙂

👏🏻Thanks to my amazing colleagues, Lina Bakšienė, Linas Juknevičius, Andrius Katkevičius and Laurynas Šišovas for sharing your professional skills and enthusiasm as well as making this conference ultra special and fun🙂

Thanks to the wonderful talented people I was lucky to meet and with whom I look forward to continuing this journey to space, especially Prof. Bernard Foing – Director of Euro Moon Mars Earth Space Innovation.
