Cyber and Edtech Startups 2022
🔊 My visit to Albania proved successful and set promising foundations for near future activities, partnerships and cooperations.
Together with Prof. Edmond Hajrizi Rector of UBT – Higher Education Institution and Maria Dojçe in charge of UBT’s activity in Albania 🇦🇱 , I had a productive meeting with Deputy Mayer of Elbasan Municipality Vesa Lico, to discuss launching a municipal innovation hub in partnership with UBT. Mayer Gledian Llatja, I’m looking forward to our f2f meeting 😉
💡 Had the pleasure of meeting Albana Tole, deputy minister on Education and introducing her to Jurgita Jaruševičienė, founder and CEO of Mokosi online tutoring platform, that will soon venture in the Balkans, in partnership with UBT, as well as to discuss the expansion of UBT in Albania, housing an impressive variety of trendish professions in IT, Cyber, IoT, Smart Cities and many others.
🏛 As usual, topping my meetings list is Mayor Erion Veliaj, deputy mayor Anuela Ristani & innovation director Ermir Puka, a team always motivated to partner & support business and academic initiatives, you guys are awesome!

Albania 2022
My 2nd visit to Albania 🇦🇱 proved successful and exciting, meeting old and new friends and colleagues.
Conducted professional lectures on #CyberSecurity and #StartupEcosystem, nominated #Chairman of Korca Hub advisory board, operated by UBT: University of Business & Technology as well as conducting 1st board meeting. Had the pleasure of meeting Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj as well as Korca Mayor Sotiraq Filo to discuss business opportunities, as well as promoting startups accelerators. Met with Korca University rector, senior staff and students.
Always excited to mee many young and talented people, all eager to accelerate and make an impact.

Cyber Security Workshop Albania 2022
🔔 I had the pleasure of visiting UBT University hosting my visit to Kosovo and Albania, meeting Professor Edmond Hajrizi, UBT founder and president as well as part of the 1,200 staff members. I shared best practices on the startup nation’s call for action and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the motivation and collaboration opportunities with Israel’s academic and startup ecosystem, as well as with SID-Tech Accelerator Israel, Sabah.lab Azerbaijan and #Techhub Lithuania.
UBT has a strong student backbone of talents (12,000) and an abundance of advanced infrastructure. I recommend visiting and considering cooperation. Our next mission will be the launching of UBT accelerator in Kosovo and Albania.

I will conclude my visit in Tirana, for further discussions with the municipality regarding innovation cooperation opportunities.

🇦🇱 I conclude my first visit to Albania delighted and intrigued. It was a short yet intensive visit that gave me a good perspective on the opportunities and challenges ahead.
I was honored of meeting Defense Minister Mr. Niko Peleshi as well as the Minister of Entrepreneurship Mrs. Edona Bilali, as well as Deputy Mayor of Titrana Mrs. Anuela Ristani and Korca Mayor Sotiraq Filo and Prof. Edmond Hajrizi Rector and President of UBT during 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥.

Unclarity. ❌ Uncertainty. ❌ longer to raise funds. ❌ harder to make sales❓
The answer is nothing. Everything is difficult and challenging for a startups!!!! But now the rest of the world feels the same😊
